Q&A

What are you doing to practice and promote soil and water quality?

I plant my soybean crop no-till and have planted all of my soybean crop no-till for three years. I have used cover crops for several years. Cereal rye is aerial seeded into standing corn and the soybean crop is planted no-till into the soybean crop.

What is being done in your county to support soil and water quality?

There is a lot corn planted no-till into strip till in this county. And there is a lot of no-till soybean in Clay County.

What could be done with more public funding for soil and water quality?

More funding for cover crops and more funding for farmers who want to try strip-till.
