What are you doing to practice and promote soil and water quality?
We have been using terraces, grass waterways, reduced tillage, split apply N. We are going to start strip-till applying our NPK this spring.
What is being done in your county to support soil and water quality?
Many of the same practices are being used throughout the county. I also know of a bioreactor in place. Rotational grazing on pastures.
What could be done with more public funding for soil and water quality?
More programs for terraces, ponds and conservation structures. Funds could be targeted to inform more farmers and landowners on the benefits of conservation work. Maybe more targeted programs like CSP.
